Supergirl TV Series In Development

<p>As if Warner Brothers wasn&&num;8217&semi;t already busy enough with their three new DC Comics TV series &lpar;<em><strong>The Flash<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&comma; <em><strong>Constantine<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&comma; <em><strong>Gotham<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&rpar;&comma; you can add one more to the list&period; The next DC Comics character to receive a TV series is set to be <em><strong>Supergirl<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&comma; the Kryptonian cousin of <strong>Superman<&sol;strong>&period; But before you get all excited for another TV trip back to Smallville&sol;Metropolis&comma; keep in mind that this project is in the earliest stages of development&period; There are no stars cast and not even an official title announced&period; What we do know is that Greg Berlanti &lpar;<em><strong>The Flash<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&comma; <em><strong>Arrow<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&rpar; is heading up the development for this Warner Brothers produced TV series&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>While I&&num;8217&semi;m all for bringing the character for television&comma; one little note about the development has me worried&period; According to Deadline&comma; this will be a new interpretation of the character and her story&period; Those words give off an eerie vibe similar to what WB proposed with the <em><strong>Wonder Woma<&sol;strong><&sol;em>n pilot that failed hard&period; Still&comma; I am slightly hopeful with potential of comic writer <strong>Geoff Johns<&sol;strong> &lpar;<em><strong>Green Lantern<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&comma; <em><strong>Justice League<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&rpar; who may be on the writing staff&period; At the very least&comma; it&&num;8217&semi;s a big step for DC Comics with so many TV projects to take a step up at developing a female superhero show while Marvel is still avoiding the subject&period; Couple this with the rumored <em><strong>Wonder Woman<&sol;strong><&sol;em> movie and Warner Brothers&sol;DC Comics may just round up more female viewers than Marvel in the future&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Source&colon; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;deadline&period;com&sol;2014&sol;09&sol;supergirl-tv-series-dc-comics-829364&sol;">Deadline<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
