The Surge Receives its First Screenshot

<p><em>Lords of the Fallen <&sol;em>wasn&&num;8217&semi;t a huge release when it came out&comma; but it also wasn&&num;8217&semi;t a bad game&period; Hurt mainly by its overt comparisons to <em>Dark Souls<&sol;em>&comma; it still managed to provide a fun&comma; challenging time for players familiar with the type of game it was&period; Deck 13 Interactive had already confirmed they <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;polygon&period;com&sol;2015&sol;6&sol;1&sol;8697331&sol;lords-fallen-2-release-date-without-deck-13-new-developer">wouldn&&num;8217&semi;t be working on the sequel<&sol;a> to <em>Lords of the Fallen<&sol;em>&comma; but instead on a new science fiction RPG entitled <em>The Surge<&sol;em>&period; The first screenshot for the game can be seen below&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<figure id&equals;"attachment&lowbar;100772" aria-describedby&equals;"caption-attachment-100772" style&equals;"width&colon; 1366px" class&equals;"wp-caption aligncenter"><img class&equals;"size-full wp-image-100772" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;bagogames&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2016&sol;03&sol;thesurge-01&period;jpg" alt&equals;"The Surge" width&equals;"1366" height&equals;"768" &sol;><figcaption id&equals;"caption-attachment-100772" class&equals;"wp-caption-text">&lpar;The Surge&comma; Focus Home Interactive&rpar;<&sol;figcaption><&sol;figure>&NewLine;<p>There isn&&num;8217&semi;t much to see in the screenshot other than a man in an exoskeleton&comma; similar to many science fiction projects out today&period; It looks like one of the unique features coming to the game &&num;8211&semi; dismemberment &&num;8211&semi; is on display here&period; Also&comma; that is a pretty gnarly gun&period; A lot of the enemies for the game seem to be leaning towards mechanical&comma; industrial creations due to the game&&num;8217&semi;s setting in a dystopian future&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The upside to fighting mechanical enemies is that you will be able to upgrade your exoskeleton using the parts that you break off of an enemy&period; The more difficult the part is to break off&comma; the more rewarding it will be to have equipped as the game leans into its unique upgrade system&period; Everything about <em>The Surge <&sol;em>sounds like it will be punishing but also extremely rewarding&comma; as many enemies will be difficult&comma; but will also provide a reward worth fighting for&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>The Surge <&sol;em>is set to be released in 2017 for PS4&comma; Xbox One and PC&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Source&colon; Focus Home Interactive Press Release<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;
