Surgeon Simulator ER Available Now for PSVR, Coming Soon to Vive and Oculus

You know what game was silly? Surgeon Simulator. A lot of its humor came in the physics combining with the very stressful situation of holding someone’s life in your hands. It was weird and fun, but what would likely make it better is if you were truly immersed in the emergency situation. Well, Surgeon Simulator ER: Experience Reality Edition will remedy that situation and allow players to experience the popular game in a whole new light.

It wouldn’t be a Surgeon Simulator game without some wacky scenarios, so the game will take players from conventional settings like the operating room and the back of an ambulance to the more unconventional like outer space. Eye surgery without gravity will likely be both aggravating and a ton of fun in virtual reality. This version of the game includes the features from the original as well as new operations, a second hand, and some new achievements.

The addition of two hands is a pretty big deal. But the original game was quite the handful (pun definitely intended!) with just a single hand to use. Especially with a controller and not motion controls like the VR options offer. So two hands, with motion control should help immensely with getting your head around the weird controls and physics.

Surgeon Simulator ER is available today for PlayStation VR, December 5th for HTC Vive and December 6th for Oculus Touch. It was announced today to be coming to PSVR at PlayStation Experience 2016.
