E3 is right around the corner (!) and Iron Galaxy is already gearing up to show some new games behind closed doors. Extinction was announced today as having a presence at E3 2017, with a cinematic trailer released above which gives a feel for what the game is about. Needless to say, this fast-paced action title will definitely whet the appetites of those who have always wanted to kill some ogres.
Players will step into the shoes of Avil, one of the last Sentinel soldiers left that can take on the encroaching army of Ogres and those that trail behind them. After generations of humans fighting each other, the Ravenii are armies of bloodthirsty monsters that have the intention of wiping out humankind for good. It is up to players of Extinction to stop them through a story that will also have you saving civilians from peril, and side missions that will provide upgrades for you along the way.
As can be seen in the trailer above, players will have plenty of ways to take out these 150-foot tall monstrosities. Skill trees will allow for a combat style that fits the players’ desires, leaving many options open as to how to kill an ogre. On top of that, the game features interactive environments and various battle scenarios so the battlefield never feels truly the same as the last. Players will even have the opportunity to create their own battlegrounds. And for those who just want to kill ogres without any story, there’s the Extinction mode that just lets you fight wave after wave of Ravenii.
