Respawn Entertainment has detailed the first map in the upcoming Titanfall DLC, IMC Rising. Called Zone 18, this map is hidden deep within the Dakota system. According to the game’s lore, IMC ( Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation) is using this hidden facillity to conduct secret research following the fall of Hammond Robotics’ headquarters.
Designer Geoff Smith described Zone 18 as a fast paced environment split into two main sections. He said that when he was creating it he wanted to make ”something that would be less ‘noisy’ and let players spot other pilots quickly.With Hammond Robotics working on a new Spectre model in the high-tech underground sections of Zone 18, the base above is neglected and overgrown as camouflage against enemy aerial and satellite reconnaissance.”
IMC Rising will come to Xbox One and PC first when it launches later this year. As well as Zone 18 the DLC also features two more maps; Blackwater and Sandtrap.
