Tales of Berseria Announced For PS4 and PC

<p><em>Tales of Berseria<&sol;em> is coming to the West for both PlayStation 4 and PC&period; In an announcement posted this morning on The Official Tales Of Blog&comma; a written piece and a trailer provided by Bandai Namco Entertainment detail the story in the next entry in the <em>Tales of<&sol;em> series&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Tales of Berseria<&sol;em> features a female lead named Velvet&period; Velvet is described as the first female solo main character in a <em>Tales of<&sol;em> game&comma; so it seems that there will be no choice between primary characters to play&comma; as in <em>Tales of Xillia<&sol;em>&&num;8216&semi;s multi-story arc with Milla and Jude&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Exposed to traumatic experiences three years before the events in <em>Berseria<&sol;em>&comma; Velvet&&num;8217&semi;s &&num;8220&semi;festering anger and hatred&&num;8221&semi; leaves her with a powerful beastlike left-arm&period; The trailer shows her using her special abilities to take out enemies with powerful swipes using this arm&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>She is joined by Laphicet&comma; a young boy&comma; who will act as a foil character to Velvet&period; While Velvet is defined by &&num;8220&semi;Shadow&comma;&&num;8221&semi; Laphicet is the embodiment of &&num;8220&semi;Light&&num;8221&semi;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Tales of Berseria<&sol;em> is the second entry in the series that is playable on the PlayStation 4&comma; next to <em>Tales of Zesteria<&sol;em>&comma; and the first in the series to be playable exclusively on Sony&&num;8217&semi;s current-generation hardware&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Source&colon; &lpar;The Official Tales of Blog&rpar;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
