Tales of Berseria: New Japanese Trailer Released, More Information Given

Story elements and gameplay of Tales of Berseria have been revealed in a new trailer.

Bandai Namco have released a new trailer for the next Tales of game in 1080p and 60 frames per second. Gematsu has translated the information from Bandai Namco.

The trailer shows a new character, Lyfesette, a young boy who is created from the light as opposed to Velvet (the main character)’s creation from shadow. According to Gematsu’s translation, Lyfesette “will play a very important role in the story.” The battle system will also not have a fixed camera anymore, and it will be free run based, according to Gematsu.

Tales of Berseria is the next installment of the Tales of series. You can check out our review of the most recent title, Tales of Zestiria, here. If you are unaware of the Tales of series, it is a franchise which is created upon multiple universes similarly to Final Fantasy. Tales of is now celebrating its 20th anniversary.

Tales of Berseria is scheduled to release in Japan sometime in 2016 for PS4 and PS3. No western release has been confirmed as of the time of writing.
