Little Big Planet Developer Announces ‘Hunger’ For PS4

<p><span style&equals;"color&colon; &num;000000&semi;">Swedish developer Tarsier Studios have revealed that they will be releasing their first next gen title exclusively for the PS4&period; The developer is most famous for their work on <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;bagogames&period;com&sol;big-planet&sol;">LittleBigPlanet for PS Vita<&sol;a>&period; The new game is called Hunger and will be the first time Tarsier has released an original IP&period; Whilst the company did announce a game called City of Metronome back at E3 2005&comma; the game was never released&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<figure id&equals;"attachment&lowbar;62004" aria-describedby&equals;"caption-attachment-62004" style&equals;"width&colon; 300px" class&equals;"wp-caption alignright"><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;cdn&period;bagogames&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2014&sol;05&sol;05102730&sol;Tarsier&period;jpeg"><img class&equals;"wp-image-62004 size-medium" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;cdn&period;bagogames&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2014&sol;05&sol;05102730&sol;Tarsier-300x300&period;jpeg" alt&equals;"Tarsier" width&equals;"300" height&equals;"300" &sol;><&sol;a><figcaption id&equals;"caption-attachment-62004" class&equals;"wp-caption-text">Before working on Hunger&comma; Tarsier developed various LittleBigPlanet projects including the PS Vita version and the DC Comics Pack&period;<&sol;figcaption><&sol;figure>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"color&colon; &num;000000&semi;">Hunger  has a much better chance of seeing the light of day thanks to the funding that the game  has received from the Nordic Game Programme&period; It was announced at the Nordic Game Conference that Tarsier has been given 500&comma;000 Kroner &lpar;which is about &dollar;91&comma;000 or £54&comma;000&rpar; in order for them to complete Hunger&period; Tarsier CEO Ola Holmdahl was ecstatic at the news&comma; stating that &&num;8221&semi;This is not only a huge vote of confidence from the Nordic Game Program expert group&comma; the grant enables us to explore an idea we are deeply passionate about&period; Hunger<i> <&sol;i>holds fantastic potential&comma; and our job now is to harness that promise into a great experience&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"color&colon; &num;000000&semi;">Hunger follows the story of a 9 year old girl called Six&period; She has been kidnapped and is forced to work in an underwater resort called The Maw&period; An unexpected turn of events gives Six the chance to escape servitude and journey through this strange and unforgiving world&period; Hunger is described by the developers as <&sol;span><span style&equals;"color&colon; &num;000000&semi;">&&num;8220&semi;third-person 3D action adventure game with stealth and exploration elements&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"color&colon; &num;000000&semi;">&period; So far no release date has been given for Hunger but hopefully we will see more details about the game at E3 next month&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Via <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;eurogamer&period;net&sol;articles&sol;2014-05-22-littlebigplanet-vita-dev-reveals-surreal-ps4-adventure-hunger">Eurogamer<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
