Tekken 7 Releases in June, Kazuya is Still Mad

Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC players can finally get their hands on the next chapter in the Tekken franchise, when Tekken 7 launches on June 2nd, 2017. The game has been out in arcades in Japan since 2015 and then re-released as Tekken 7: Fated Retribution. The latter version is what will be released in June. Below you can find a trailer which shows off the game’s cinematic story mode.

This release of the game will be better than the arcade versions as it will offering new balancing for characters, as well as more characters, a story mode, and online tournament modes.

There will be a season pass made available for the game that will give players three DLC packs, including new characters, stages, costumes, and a new game mode. If you pre-order, you will get access to Eliza, who made her debut in Tekken Revolution. Meanwhile, Xbox One players will get a free copy of Tekken 6 which utilizes the system’s backwards compatibility. The Xbox One pre-order pack will be available on January 31 through the Xbox Store.

PS4 players will also get some exclusive perks, including legacy costumes from Tekken 4 and Tekken 2. The costumes will be for King, Xiaoyu and Jin. If you’re longing to hear older Tekken music, there will also be a Jukebox mode for PS4 players. It will let you create custom playlists of Tekken music that you can then listen to while playing.
