Publisher 505 Games have announced that they are bringing the 2D sandbox game Terraria to current gen consoles. The company has announced that these versions will feature ”some brand new functionality”. 505 stated that they will offer more details about this at E3 but we do know that the PS4 version will support Cross Play and Cross Save with the already released PS Vita edition.
Developed by Re-Logic, Terraria was released on the PC in 2011 and was met with very high praise. It has been described as a 2D Minecraft as both titles feature exploration, crafting and construction. This won’t be the first time that the game has been put on consoles as it was released on PS3 and Xbox 360 last year. However, Tony Baines said in his Terraria review that the game is much better when played on the PC.
