Terraria Arrives on 3DS eShop December 10th

Terraria, the 2D sandbox adventure game, has received a release date and launch trailer for the Nintendo 3DS. 505 Games and Re-Logic announced today that Terraria would arrive in the Nintendo eShop on December 10th for $30. The announcement trailer for the 3DS release displayed simulated gameplay on a 3DS. Players will make use of the 3DS’ touchpad to build and craft things within their world. Four player multiplayer will be supported through Local Play, and the game will feature over 1,300 crafting recipes, 150 enemies and 15 bosses to battle. The 3DS version may also feature some “Nintendo surprises.”

Terraria, which has received generally favorable reviews from critics since it’s initial release on PC in 2011, is currently also available on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, iPhone, and Android. In the BagoGames review of Terraria for PS3, Tony Baines said “If you never played Terraria, my advice would be simple, buy the game as it is a work of genius that not only reminds you of  how much fun  games used to be many moons ago, but shows you how great they can still be.”
