Tetris Movie Coming Soon. Yes, This Is Real.

<p>Of all the video game franchise to turn into a movie&comma; this one baffles me&period; <em><strong>Tetris<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&comma; the classic puzzle game staple of video games&comma; is being adapted by Threshold Entertainment as a &&num;8220&semi;big&comma; epic sci-fi movie&period;&&num;8221&semi;  Yes&comma; <strong><em>Tetris<&sol;em><&sol;strong>&period; The 1984 video game by <strong>Alexey Pajitnov<&sol;strong> about stacking rows of blocks is being used as the basis for a film&period; So unless there was some <em><strong>Tetris<&sol;strong> <&sol;em>RPG I missed&comma; the screenplay writers are going to have a lot of room to roam&period; Though no cast or director or even a writer has been chosen for the film&comma; Threshold CEO <strong>Larry Kasanoff<&sol;strong> &lpar;producer of the <strong><em>Mortal Kombat<&sol;em><&sol;strong> movies&rpar; was pretty vocal about the project&period; He&&num;8217&semi;s stated that the film will not just be blocks stacking or block characters running around&period; <strong>Kasanoff<&sol;strong> insists that he has some big plans for <em><strong>Tetris<&sol;strong> <&sol;em>even though he hasn&&num;8217&semi;t revealed much of anything besides the name&period; Personally&comma; I&&num;8217&semi;m intrigued given how 1995&&num;8217&semi;s Mortal Kombat movie was just ridiculous enough to be an enjoyable piece of entertainment&period; And with such a simple source material&comma; anything could happen with this film&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>What do you think of a Tetris movie&quest;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Source&colon; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;blogs&period;wsj&period;com&sol;speakeasy&sol;2014&sol;09&sol;30&sol;tetris-movie&sol;&quest;mod&equals;e2tw">Wall Street Journal<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
