2020 seems to be the year of cyberpunk with the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077, and cyberpunkdreams, a new text-based RPG by Late Night Games. In a return to the genre’s roots, cyberpunkdreams is an open-ended RPG that is free-to-play, though with some optional in-game microtransactions.
You play as a traveller who arrives in Cincinnati, 2092. A sprawling large city on the edge of the badlands. You have the choice of who you want to be in this world. The only goal is to survive.
The game is heavily choice-driven, classified as interactive fiction. It’s described as simple, uncompromising cyberpunk, fitting for both those familiar with the genre and newcomers. Your actions will be remembered by the NPCs and will shape the world around you as you play.
You’ll be able to level up your skills and customize your character. Everything from your looks to your cybernetics can be customized, provided you have the parts. You’ll be able to level up your skills and abilities as you play as well.
