Halo Show is Still a Go, But It’s Happening “No Time Soon”

You’ll likely be sitting in front of a lot of Halo this fall, but when we’ll be watching a live-action Master Chief on our TV screens remains to be seen.

It was back in the spring of last year that Showtime became the rumored home for the series following directors Ridley Scott and Steven Spielberg’s exits a year prior. Though the show was originally speculated launch this fall alongside Halo 5: Guardians, an announcement was not – and has yet to be – given.

Speaking with IGN at the Television Critics Association summit, Showtime president David Nevins gave some cautions indications of the series’ survival, saying “It’s still in development. Still in very active development.”

So when should we expect to see this series? “No time soon,” reportedly.

Halo 5: Guardians releases this Oct. 27th for Xbox One with a special console bundle. We had the pleasure of trying our hand at it during this year’s PAX East which you can read all about.
