2K Games and 2K Marin have announced post-launch DLC for The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, which is set to release on August 20th (23rd in Europe). The DLC is said to further continue the hidden, untold origin story of the XCOM division and will come to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, but Xbox 360 owners will get it first.
“We take great pride in our track record of providing high-quality post-release content for our games,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “We will continue to expand the XCOM universe by telling original stories set in the paranoia-drenched Cold War era of The Bureau.”
Also announced was an exclusive bonus mission, called Codebreakers, which comes free of charge to consumers who pre-order the game from any retailer. This mission sees Agent Carter and his squad investigating a communications facility that intercepts enemy transmissions, but has recently gone silent. The Light Plasma Pistol was also revealed as a pre-order bonus, but is only available at GameStop/GAME.
