You won’t see Deadpool bleed, but you will see him do just about everything else. That’s right, Marvel’s Merc with the Mouth finally has his own film and it’s hitting cinemas next year. Who’s that, you ask? Deadpool might be happy to tell you that. More than happy.
As it debuted at this year’s Comic Con International in San Diego and The Conan O’Brien Show this evening, the two-minute plus trailer showcases just about everything the studio assumes we need to know about its titular assassin – which is a good deal.
In an effort to cure himself of terminal cancer, Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), soldier-turned-soldier of fortune, gains amazing regenerative powers as a part of a government experiment as well as some rather unfortunate side effects. Shooting things and making them explode along the way, Wilson seeks revenge on the man who experimented on him in tune to some sick beats and some peculiar doodling.
Akin to the wickedly mature source material, Deadpool‘s already earned itself an R-rating, or the “you have to bring your parents or guardian to see this if you’re 16” as it’s also known here in the states. As such, the studio’s released two trailers for the film: a PG-13 green band trailer and another red band trailer, both of which you can find below.

In the comics, Wade Wilson was a similarly clad lunatic who frequently fought/harassed his comic book peers, including but not limited to the The Fantastic Four, The Avengers, and the X-Men, the latter of which starred shiny, “colossal” friend who appears above.
The character also had a game a few years back. It didn’t fair too well on our scale, but it certainly had a few laughs..
Deadpool slings its one-liners at us Feb. 12th, 2016, starring Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, Brianna Hildebrand, Andre Tricoteux, Leslie Uggams, and Ryan Reynolds as the red-and-black maniac of its namesake.
