The DRG Initiative Playable at PC Gamer Weekender

The yearly PC Gamer Weekender event will have playable units of The DRG Initiative. The event is held at Kensington, Olympia from February 17-18th and allows public attendees to play pre-release games, speak with industry professional professionals, build PC rigs, and compete in tournaments. UK based developer Slingshot Cartel’s The DRG Initiative is a team-based competitive third person shooter. Founders of Slingshot Cartel, Gareth Morrison, and Jonathan Napier, will be at the show all weekend.

Set in the future, players control different factions as they fight to compete in a violent gameshow. Teams of three are tasked with choosing the right mix of character swapping, tactics, and classes to come out victorious in matches played to a best of three rounds. With streaming and esports at the heart of the experience, The DRG Initiative gives players access to a broadcaster mode. You’ll be able to spectate players, fly drone camera around the map, and decide what stats show up on screen. With Twitch integration, viewers will be able to vote on who gets loot in the game.
