After its surprise reappearance from its spot in development hell this past E3, it turns out that we’ll be seeing more of The Last Guardian before its hopeful release next year.
Co-developer genDESIGN has alluded that the game will be shown off at onstage at the Tokyo Gameshow later this month on Twitter.
“We are thinking about how to take Trico to the Makuhari ( in a new and different way),” the studio said in the tweet below, showcasing the feet of its starring dog-griffin creature, Trico. The Makuhari Messe is the Japanese Convention Center where the Tokyo Gameshow is famously held.

Shown off at E3 of 2009, The Last Guardian will have suffered seven years in obscurity before its intended 2016 release on Playstation 4, for which its director is “terribly sorry.”
The Tokyo Gameshow will run from this coming Thursday, Sep. 17th, through Sunday, Sep. 20th.
