The Wonderful 101: Remastered Gets A New Trailer

PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam get release dates as well

The Wonderful 101: Remastered got a new trailer today from developer PlatinumGames. The trailer not only shows one of the game’s defining features, known as the Unite Morph system. The trailer also revealed the release dates worldwide for The Wonderful 101.

The game, originally coming out as a Wii U exclusive in August 2013. Utilizing the Wii U Gamepad, it brought a new flair to how hack-and-slash games worked. The player used the touch screen to influence the actions of the player character, such as the previously mentioned Unite Morphs system.

You can watch the brand-new trailer below:

The Unite Morphs System

The Unite Morphs system is the key drawing point of The Wonderful 101, both in its original Wii U release and its Remastered counterpart. To utilize it, the player draws shapes to switch between weapons such as swords, whips, and hammers. This adds a layer of strategy and style to most combat encounters.

Unite Morphs don’t stop there. The player can also utilize Unite Morphs to create traversal tools, such as bridges and hang gliders, to reach otherwise inaccessible areas. Unite Morphs as a whole are what this game’s core is, and it challenges the player to think on how to best solve the problem or act in combat encounters.
