Welcome to this week’s Thirsty Thursday Culture Cocktail!
The holidays have been happening and are going to happen for people of all different religions and beliefs! This is usually really exciting but it can also be really stressful too! It’s always nice to respond to that stress and the sweet but bitter cold weather with a good brew (or two) and some good games and that’s exactly what we’ve been doing at BagoGames! Let’s cut the chatter and get straight to the recipes and how we think its all going to go down!
Santa is Nier
1 Bottle of Nier
2 oz of Shadow Warrior (slashing!)
5 oz of Fudge
After defeating Spider-Man’s foes in the Xbox 360, Nier found a home there seeing as its sequel will be released after Santa squeezes down our chimneys. Humor is always needed during the holidays and Lo Wang in Shadow Warrior is a great outlet for that–raise a glass to 3D Realms. My fat ass needs game fuel so here comes the fudge and smudgy controllers, and the fudge will be there should Santa not bring me the latest Final Fantasy.
It’s a Wonderful … Holiday Punch
1 Cup of Holiday Cheer
1 Cup of Music (Holiday related or not–more can be added to taste)
3 oz of Family Gatherings (or at least as much as you can handle without pulling out your hair)
Garnish with your favorite video game once all the guests leave and you can settle in to enjoy your handiwork
The first two ingredients are to set the mood, the third is mandatory (but can be lengthened or shortened depending on the size and tolerance level of your family.) The last ingredient is a chaser that will hopefully help you shake away all the stories about how Grandpa walked uphill both ways to get your Christmas gift this year.
It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Sickness
5 oz Gift Giving
5 oz Gift Receiving
40 oz Clown Shoes Beer
1 oz DayQuil
1 Sprinkle of Sleep
After enjoying the first two ingredients equally throughout the day, wash them down with the beer as you stay up foolishly late into the evening. The following morning, down the DayQuil quickly, chasing it with coffee as needed. Then desperately attempt to obtain the final ingredient, of which there is not nearly enough to go around.

WHEW. Guys, I am beat. I have three jobs and one of them is at GameStop which is of course crazier this time of year because of the frantic hustle and bustle of holiday shopping. That alone has me beat tired but I also am of course a writer and editor for BagoGames and a freelance writer to boot. That’s not gonna stop me from celebrating Christmas with the love of my life though. Energy drinks, some sleep, and plenty of Christmas movies are placed within the gaps of time we have and when I’m not doing that I’m enjoying the hell out of my replay of Mass Effect 2 (newly backwards compatible by the way)! You can bet I’m listening to Spotify throughout all of this too because where was music streaming when I was a kid?! Oh right, it was called Limewire and it messed up computer. I hope my Mom’s not reading this … Now I feel old, too.
