This is How Star Wars Battlefront Handles AT-AT Walkers

You’ve got questions about Star Wars Battlefront – EA has answers. The company recently collected a bunch of them from fans this past E3 and laid out some info on some of the most pressing inquiries.

One of the biggest questions was just how players will get to pilot the series’ classic AT-AT walkers. In Walker Assault, EA says that vehicles will be tied to the power up system. “When you find a vehicle power up on the map,” they said, “you will need to activate it, which immediately spawns you inside the vehicle.”

Vehicle power ups will come with a time-limit, however, to allegedly allow more “equal distribution of the vehicle power ups amongst all players.”

But can we fly Y-wings? It doesn’t look like it. Y-wings are officially “non-player controlled vehicles,” EA’s confirmed which you can call into battle in certain modes, but you won’t be jumping behind the cockpit.

As far as split-screen on PC is concerned, the studio’s said that only the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Battlefront will be coming with that.

Experience within single-player “Mission Mode,” will meanwhile not apply to multiplayer career experience, though it will earn you “credit rewards” that you can spend towards unlockables.

Star Wars Battlefront hits Nov. 17th in North America, Nov. 19th in Australia, and Nov. 20th in Europe for all the systems mentioned above: PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
