Three characters were announced for Tekken 7, including the new female character, Josie.
Both Jin and Devil Jin will be playable in Tekken 7, but latest female character, Josie, is set to enter the next Iron Fist Tournament. This was announced on a live stream from Bandai Namco.
Josie Rizal, a completely new and unique character for the Tekken series, hails from the Phillipines and is skilled in the martial art of kickboxing. Her design is from the Bayonetta character designer, Mari Shimazaki, who also is behind the look of Kuzumi Mishima, the mother of Kazuya and the wife of long time antagonist of the series, Heihachi.
Tekken 7 will be demonstrated as a tournament between professional players at this year’s EVO, the largest competitive fighting game event in the world.
The game is being developed on Unreal Engine 4. At the time of writing, Tekken 7 has no scheduled release date for Western territories. The game is only available on Japanese arcades currently. We will be reporting on the latest Tekken 7 news so come back at visit us at BagoGames!
