Animal Crossing: New Leaf has been on sale for just over a week now in the land of the rising sun and has sold an amazing amount of units. 721,786 to be precise.

With this number being large enough, it is even more breathe taking that this DOES NOT take into account the eShop sales which Nintendo Gamer report may be large due to evidence slightly insinuating that Nintendo could be holding back stock to push digital copies. They also stated in the same article that Iwata has reported that 200,000 digital copies of the game have been sold meaning that the grand total raises to 821,786 copies.
