2013 is going to be the year where we all see the return of Tomb Raider, and it seems that the upcoming reboot of the series is going to be fantastic. It may shock you to learn, however, that the game is not being developed and thus will not be being released on the latest console to grace our living rooms, the Nintendo Wii U. Why is this? Creative Director Noah Hughes explained to TrueGaming the exact reason; the system’s unique interface did not align with the company’s goal to deliver the same experience across all versions. Interesting eh?
Noah Hughes continues to explain that he has always been a fan of Nintendo systems and that they (Crystal Dynamics) would need to tailor the experience if they were to do it (bring the game to Wii U).
Has this disappointed you in any way or were you always just going to get the Xbox 360/PS3 version? Let us know in the comments below!
