So What Are The Top 10 UK Software Sales Looking Like?

With Christmas and New Year celebrations now being well and truly behind us, it’s time to get back to business and back to the games we know and love.

And with great offers being offered both in-store and online you can finally have an excuse as to why it took you so long to join your mates in that new online game they’ve all been raving about but you just didn’t see the appeal of spending £39.99 to join in. Or you could just buy another copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Whichever takes your fancy?

The top ten selling games as of the week ending 1/12 are:

  1. Far CRY 3 – Xbox 360 (second in all-formats)
  2. FIFA 13 – Xbox 360 (first in all-formats)
  3. Call of Duty: Black Ops II – Xbox 360 (third in all-formats)
  4. Fifa 13 – PS3 (first in all-formats)
  5. Far Cry 3 – PS3 (second in all-formats)
  6. Halo 4 – Xbox 360 (seventh in all-formats)
  7. Call of Duty: Black Ops II – PlayStation 3 (third in all-formats)

  9. Football Manager 2013 – PC (yes you read that right. PC) (Not in top 40 for all-formats)
  10. Hitman Absolution – Xbox 360 (fourth in all-formats)

Some of you may be wondering where the Wii U, 3DS and Vita may have placed in the UK software sales chart. We’ve divulged the figures and dug deep to find that exact information out, we’re just that lovely after all:

21. Mario Kart 7 – Nintendo 3DS

… And the Vita and Wii U did not come in the top forty for software sales… ouch.
