Resident Evil: Revelations 2 Leaked on Xbox.com

French gaming website Gamer In A Box has discovered a listing for the as of yet unannounced Resident Evil: Revelations 2. Interestingly, the listing uses the series’s Japanese name, Biohazard. It includes a piece of box art and a screenshot but no other details.

The original Revelations was a 3DS exclusive when it launched in 2012. It was then ported to PC, Wii U, PS3 and Xbox 360 last year. The game was well received by longtime fans and a sequel has been very much in demand. So far Capcom has refused to comment on the rumour but we’ll bring you more information about the game as it becomes available.

Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Not Coming To Wii U

It hasn’t been the best couple of days for Nintendo’s console. Earlier this week, Ubisoft announced that they will be making no more mature games for the Wii U and today Activision has confirmed that the latest Call of Duty will not be coming to the platform. This is despite the fact that the last two games in the series, Black Ops II and Ghosts, both had Wii U versions.

The news came from Sledgehammer co-founder Michael Condrey who said on Twitter, “No, no Wii U. That was an Activision decision”. Sledgehammer Games is currently working on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC versions of Advanced Warfare whilst High Moon Studios works on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. The game is due for release on November 4.

Fire Emblem Heading to Wii U VC for Europe

Nintendo is making great use of the Virtual Console on the Wii U. The GBA game, Fire Emblem: The Sword of Flame (as it is known in Japan) is being released today for Europe. Nintendo of America has not stated if Fire Emblem will be released for the American regions

Watch Dogs Will Be Ubisoft’s Last Mature Game For Wii U

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has confirmed that Ubisoft will only be making family friendly games for the Wii U for the foreseeable future. Their final mature game for the platform will be Watch Dogs. In an interview with Game Informer, Guillemot said that” [Watch Dogs] is coming to Wii U… It will be the only mature game we publish on it. What we see is that Nintendo customers don’t buy Assassin’s Creed. Last year, we sold in very small numbers. They are very interested in Just Dance, very interested by other kinds of games. So what we are trying to do is to focus more on the types of games they are interested in.”

At the beginning of the generation, Ubisoft invested quite strongly (at least in comparison to other third parties) into mature titles for the Wii U. Not only did they have the new IP Zombie U for launch but they also released Assassin’s Creed 3, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Splinter Cell: Blacklist. However, the gamble does not seem to have paid off. Last year, Wii U game sales represented only 4% of Ubisoft’s total. This year that figure dropped to 3%.

Layoffs Hit Sony’s Sucker Punch Studio

Sony has confirmed that they have laid off a number of staff at the Washington based Sucker Punch Productions. In a statement to IGN, the company said, ”SCEA can confirm a reduction in workforce has taken place at Sucker Punch Productions. Sucker Punch is appreciative of the tremendous work team members contributed to the inFAMOUS and Sly Cooper series, and wishes them the best in their next endeavors.” So far the number of layoffs has not been revealed.

Sucker Punch, which formed in 1997, was bought by Sony in 2011 after working with the publisher for many years. The studio’s latest game was the PS4 exclusive Infamous: Second Son.
