<p>Frozenbyte has announced an update for <em>Trine 2: Director&#8217;s Cut</em> in the European Nintendo eShop.</p>
<p>The Director&#8217;s Cut version of <em>Trine 2</em> is a Wii U exclusive which contains content unavailable to owners of the standard version on other platforms in the form of the Goblin Menace expansion pack and the exclusive Dwarven Caverns level.</p>
<p>Now <em>Trine 2: Director&#8217;s Cut</em> is to be expanded further in a new update which, according to the press release, contains</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;support for the Wii U Pro Controller, Voice Chat for online multiplayer, German vocals, improved graphics rendering and a bunch of minor gameplay features and fixes.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re happy that the update is finally out,&#8221; stated Lauri Hyvärinen, CEO of Frozenbyte, &#8220;and I apologize for the delays we put gamers through during these past few weeks. Hopefully the new features make up for it!&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>An additional announcement was made at the same time, confirming that the game will finally become available in Australia and New Zealand on 31st January, having passed &#8220;all the steps required for release.&#8221; Further details are due to be released &#8220;in the next few days.&#8221;</p>
