“Everyone creates the thing they dread,” a creepy, metallic James Spader tells us. If that’s true, then we don’t know what we deserved to wait five more months in the year until we get to see the Avengers back in action again on the big screen.
Marvel’s latest trailer for The Avengers: Age of Ultron dropped during the American College Football Play-offs this week and if we’re to believe the hype, it’s going to be one – oh, what do the kids call it, a “doozy?”
Hulkbusters, Hulks, Asgardians throw down on the streets of NYC this time around, and joining them in the fray are none other than super powered noobs Scarlett Witch, (Elizabeth Olson), Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor Johnson), and whoever Andy Serkis’ Captain Klaw is supposed to be here.
From the looks of it, we might just get Hulk-out we’ve been dying for if Bruce Banner’s (Mark Ruffalo) eyes have it in the anger-zone. There will be destruction here and there will be Thor’s mighty biceps.
“No matter who wins, trouble always seems to come around,” an exhausted Nick Fury tells us. That seems to be the case here – even if the Avengers can beat a bazillion Ultrons.
Starring Robert Downey Jr. Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo Elizabeth Olson, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, and Samuel L. Jackson, The Avengers: Age Of Ultron releases this coming May 1st.
Directed by Joss Whedon (Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), the follow-up to 2012’s The Avengers sees our heroes up against a nightmarish creation of their own making, Ultron, as they fight to save the world even as they might be reluctant to change it. The stakes are higher than ever – to say the least – and if Ultron has his way, the Avengers could be torn apart from the inside.
