Turtles Trump Guardians at Weekend Box Office

Despite the massive critical acclaim and positive audience reactions, Guardians of the Galaxy was knocked down from the #1 spot in its second weekend to the return of the Turtles to the big screen. The CGI/live-action hybrid picture Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles made $65,000,000 over the weekend placing it #1 at the domestic box-office, despite the negative reviews from critics. Guardians of the Galaxy still managed still managed to bring in a decent amount for its second weekend with $41,531,000, landing it in the #2 slot.
