Twin Peaks Returns to Television in 2016

<p>In the final episode of <em><strong>Twin Peaks<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&comma; Laura Palmer stated she&&num;8217&semi;ll see Dale Cooper again in 25 years&period; That was 23 years ago&period; As we near the 25th year since the finale&comma; it seems that we&&num;8217&semi;ll finally be getting a continuation to one of the most best TV series of the 1990&&num;8217&semi;s&period; <strong>Showtime<&sol;strong> will be airing nine brand new episodes of <em><strong>Twin Peaks<&sol;strong> <&sol;em>in 2016 with creator <strong>David Lynch<&sol;strong> planning to direct all of them&period; The original creators <strong>David Lynch<&sol;strong> and <strong>Mark Frost<&sol;strong> will be writing the scripts as well&period; They have stated that this will not be a reboot or a revival&comma; but an honest sequel to the events that occurred in the final season&period; So&comma; don&&num;8217&semi;t worry&comma; this won&&num;8217&semi;t be like that prequel movie <em><strong>Fire Walk With Me<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&period; There is no word yet on the casting&comma; but one would hope that most of the cast would be returning&period; Both Lynch and Frost have been taking to Twitter their excitement and how they&&num;8217&semi;re very much looking forward to returning to the show&period; This announcement comes just a few months after the release of the <em><strong>Twin Peaks<&sol;strong><&sol;em> Blu-ray boxed set&period; Lynch and Frost couldn&&num;8217&semi;t have picked a better time to delve back into the show and finally answer the questions that have been lingering in our minds for years&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Source&colon; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;variety&period;com&sol;2014&sol;tv&sol;news&sol;twin-peaks-revival-to-air-on-showtime-in-2016-1201322329&sol;">Variety<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
