After the entire fiasco with the launch and then delay of Rayman Legends everyone could understand that as soon as Ubisoft announced that the completed Rayman Legends will be pushed back to September to become a multiplatform title that Wii U gamers would be pretty annoyed.
After what has seemed like thousands of posts on websites like our very own, comments across the Miiverse community on the Wii U, online petitions and even protests outside of Ubisoft’s studios the company seem to have tried to conjure up a solution in the form of what has been referred to as “Challenge Mode”.
The Challenge Mode will be available through the Wii U eShop as an exclusive download in April (although no specific date was stated) and will be free to everyone. The mode itself will consist of daily and weekly trailers for up to five players and will also include an online leader board to motivate you to reach for the crown and tower above your fellow gamers.
Michael Micholic, the senior game manager of Rayman Legends made the following comments after the demo was announced by Ubisoft:
“We just wanted to reach out and let you know how truly humbled we were by the outpouring of support from the community. It definitely hurt us to see you so upset about the delay. We have another two fans sitting in front of the studio protesting. We want to share the game with you as soon as possible.”
