Ubisoft Cancels Rainbow Six Patriots but Announces Rainbow Six Siege

<p>It&&num;8217&semi;s become traditional for Ubisoft to end their E3 press conferences with  a final big reveal and this year was no exception&period; Rounding off the show in 2014 was the announcement of <em>Tom Clancy&&num;8217&semi;s Rainbow Six Siege<&sol;em>&period; The game is a squad based tactical shooter for current gen systems only&period; Ubisoft made the decision to cancel <em>Rainbow Six Patriots<&sol;em> in order to start fresh with this new title&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The game is under development at Ubisoft Montreal and runs on the new Realblast engine&comma;  making the most of the new system&&num;8217&semi;s extra power&period;  The multiplayer on stage demo&comma; which showed two teams battling it out in a capture the hostage mode&comma; featured some very impressive procedural destruction and allowed players to create new paths by blowing holes in the walls and floor&period; It also revealed some other interesting mechanics such as being able to choose your spawn point and using drones to spy on the other team&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Tom Clancy&&num;8217&semi;s Rainbow Six Siege<&sol;em> is expected some time in 2015 for PlayStation 4&comma; Xbox One and PC&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
