Ubisoft Delays Far Cry 5, The Crew 2, and More

<p>Ubisoft has announced the delays of three games due out in 2018&period; Ubisoft will delay <em>Far Cry 5<&sol;em>&comma; <em>T<&sol;em><em>he Crew 2<&sol;em>&comma; and an unannounced title by at least a month&period; <em>Far Cry 5<&sol;em> will be delayed to March 27&comma; a month after its initial release date of February 27&period; <em>The Crew 2<&sol;em> has a longer delay&comma; as it has a new release window of the first half of the next fiscal year&period; This means The Crew 2 should be released sometime between April 2018 and September 2018&period; One more unannounced game has also been delayed to the 2019-2020 fiscal year&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Ubisoft stated the delays were to give the teams more time to improve the games&period; On <em>Far Cry 5<&sol;em>&comma; the company stated &&num;8220&semi;<em>the extra time will allow the team at Ubisoft Montreal to make some additional improvements that will bring the best&comma; most ambitious Far Cry experience in line with the team’s original vision&period; We’re excited for fans to join the Resistance in Hope County&comma; Montana against the Project at Eden’s Gate cult&period;<&sol;em>&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>As for <em>The Crew 2<&sol;em>&comma; Ubisoft said&colon; &&num;8220&semi;<em>Ivory Tower will use the next several months to perform additional playtests&comma; gather player feedback&comma; and continue working towards delivering an ambitious open-world racing experience that meets the team’s and our players’ expectations&period;<&sol;em>&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Games do tend to get delayed to make improvements&comma; so this shouldn&&num;8217&semi;t be taken as bad news&period; We can also take solace in the fact that <em>Far Cry 5<&sol;em> is only delayed a month&period; <em>The Crew 2<&sol;em> will likely need more time because the release date was further away&period; The further the release&comma; the less work that&&num;8217&semi;s gone in the game&period; Also&comma; it looks like <em>The Crew 2<&sol;em> might need more work whereas <em>Far Cry 5<&sol;em> may just need fine-tuning&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>What do you think gamers&comma; were you looking forward to one or both of these games&quest; Let us know what you think in the comments below&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Source&colon; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;blog&period;ubi&period;com&sol;update-far-cry-5-crew-2&sol;" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank" rel&equals;"noopener">Ubisoft<&sol;a><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;
