After Patrice Desilets and Ubisoft went their separate ways last week, with Desilets stating that he was fired, the fate of his still unannounced title, 1666, was left unknown. Today, during an investor call detailing Ubisoft’s financial earnings for their 2013 fiscal year, CEO Yves Guillemot revealed that development on 1666 has been suspended for an ‘undisclosed period of time.’

Desilets himself was briefly brought up during the call, with Guillemot stating that, despite talking for two months, the two parties could not agree on a shared vision when it came to product development and team management. This almost echoes a part of their statement released after the departure of Desilets last week:

“Unfortunately, since the acquisition, the good faith discussions between Patrice and Ubisoft aimed at aligning Patrice’s and the studio’s visions have been inconclusive.”

Desilets, meanwhile, has been quoted as saying that he intends to fight Ubisoft ‘vigorously for my rights, for my team and for my game.’
