Ubisoft, developers/publishers of hit franchises Assassin’s Creed, Rayman, Far Cry and the like, appear to be making plans to acquire THQ’s assets. At least, that what MCV says. Their sources tell them that Ubisoft is already in ‘lengthy discussions with the firm’ and that the company is hoping for a bargain price. Potentially going as far as to wait until THQ has to sell off certain assets.

THQ filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this week and entered a purchasing agreement with Clearlake Capital, but the company will continue their business as usual; with no studios closing and no cancelled, in-development titles.

Could you imagine Ubisoft gaining control of Saints Row and Darksiders? Might I suggest Assassins Vs. Templars DLC for Saints Row? Only 145 Uplay points!
