Ubisoft Knows How the Assassin’s Creed Series Will End

<p>The <em>Assassin&&num;8217&semi;s Creed<&sol;em> series may see a new title released every year&comma; but it would seem that Ubisoft knows how the series will&comma; eventually&comma; end&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Speaking to <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;eurogamer&period;net&sol;articles&sol;2013-08-05-ubisoft-talks-assassins-creed-series-ending">Eurogamer<&sol;a>&comma; <em>Assassin&&num;8217&semi;s Creed IV&colon;Black Flag<&sol;em> game director Ashraf Ismail went into detail about the end of the series&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;We have an idea of where the end is&comma; what the end is&period; But of course Yves &lbrack;Guillemot&comma; Ubisoft&&num;8217&semi;s overall boss&rsqb; announced we are a yearly title&comma; we ship one game a year&period; So depending on the setting&comma; depending on what fans want&comma; we&&num;8217&semi;ve given ourselves room to fit more in this arc&period; But there is an end&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Ismail also explained that the series has multiple dev teams working on it&comma; with a &&num;8216&semi;brand team that sits on top&period;&&num;8217&semi; This team is filled with writers and designers that are &&num;8216&semi;concerned with the series&&num;8217&semi; overall arc&period;&&num;8217&semi; He followed that up by stating that there is&comma; in fact&comma; an overall arc and each of the games has a place within it&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Assassin&&num;8217&semi;s Creed III<&sol;em>&comma; which released last year&comma; marked the supposed end to Desmond&&num;8217&semi;s story&period; In <em>Assassin&&num;8217&semi;s Creed IV&colon; Black Flag<&sol;em>&comma; despite Edward Kenway being an ancestor of Connor&comma; in the &&num;8216&semi;real&&num;8217&semi; world you are an Abstergo employee who&comma; presumably&comma; has no ties to the Assassins or Desmond&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
