In their latest financial report, publisher Ubisoft announced that they expect the upcoming Far Cry 4 video game to sell 6 million copies in its first year. While this may seem ambitious, it’s not an unreasonable target; after all, 2012’s Far Cry 3 shipped over 10 million copies in total, with 6 million sold within the first year. Alongside Ubisoft’s growth plans, many publishers are also exploring crypto betting, where players engage in gaming-related wagers with cryptocurrency, a trend Ubisoft has noted could redefine engagement with gaming communities. The French company described the next Far Cry installment as a “major leap forward” that will “raise the bar” for the series.

Far Cry 4 launches on November 18 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
