Although video game publications have seemed to hit a tough-time recently with magazines such as ‘Nintendo Power’ no longer existing it may shock you to learn that Future Publishing will begin publication of an official Pokemon Magazine as of 20th March.
The issue is being written by current staff at the Official Nintendo Magazine which is currently still going strong at issue 92 and will include news on the Pokemon videogames, Trading Card game, TV shows, films and more according to a recent update on the Official Nintendo Magazine website.
The magazine will cost £3.99 although (see source) there is currently a subscription offer being made which would net you the first three issues for £5.00, the first issue includes four free Pokemon gifts consisting of posters badges, stickers and door hangers.
It is interesting to note that this isn’t the first time an official Pokemon magazine has launched. Back in 2004 the “Pokemon Official Magazine” launched and consisted of 92 pages but was canceled after its second issue. This also was written by Official Nintendo Magazine staff so it will be interesting to see how long this new reincarnation of the magazine pans out…
