With yesterdays news of the Wii Mini hitting the shelves of UK stores didn’t surprise you then thje price might as it has been confirmed to be retailing for £79.99 at Game and Amazon.
As we reported yesterday, the Wii Mini will be released on 22nd March and will include a red Wii Remote Plus controller and Red Nunchuck Controller. The console itself doesn’t support Nintendo Gamecube games, Gamecube ports and can not connect to the internet meaning that you won’t be able to enjoy multiplayer modes on games such as Mario Kart Wii.
Nintendo World Report has revealed that, since its launch on December 7th in Canada, the Wii Mini has sold a total of 35,700 units which is impressive considering the already huge number of ordinary Wii consoles sold.
Matt Ryan of Nintendo Canada stated:
“Canadian market has reacted positively to the great value the system has to offer, and we are seeing this reflected in the sales numbers.”
