Super Street Fighter IV is dead, all hail Ultra Street Fighter IV!
That’s right, Capcom – at EVO 2013 – announced a new DLC update for SSFIV that adds five new characters and further balances the game. They then took it a step furthered and upgraded ‘Super’ to ‘Ultra’, as that is the next logical step… right?
The expansion adds Hugo, Poison, Elena, Rolento and a mystery fifth character to the game, and addresses various balancing issues (some are detailed here). It will release digitally for $14.99 and at retail for $40, and both these versions would give you all the content announced so far, and some new content that has yet to be revealed.
Capcom is aiming to release Ultra Street Fighter IV early next year, but until then, check out the game’s announcement trailer below.
