United Front Games has placed an advert online looking for an “experienced network programmer” for a “next gen console title.”
The Vancouver-based studio creates games for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, and is responsible for games such as kart racer ModNation Racers and more recently open-world action game Sleeping Dogs – a game which is set to be made free for European PlayStation Plus subscribers in February.
The developer’s recent job listing for a “Network/Multiplayer programmer” read, “We are looking for an experienced network programmer to work with our online team to develop the multiplayer features of our next gen console title.”
Although the post has since been edited, with the mention of “next gen” being removed, the original version can still be seen via Google Cache.
No further details regarding the “next gen” game in question were given, so whether the game is a sequel or an original title remains unknown at this point.
