It is almost safe to say that the Unreal Engine is on every device conceivable for gaming. The engine is now compatible with Windows 8, as well as Windows RT.
The fact that the engine is compatible with Windows 8 surprises no-one. People with tablets however will be rather excited, as this brings a fairly smooth engine to mobile and tablet platforms.
Epic showcased the engine running on a tablet, noting that the demo uses “full DirectX 9 pipeline, with shaders and materials,” and also that it is not a “modified mobile version”.
