Valve have released the Steam Community Market that allows gamers to (whilst only with Team Fortress 2 at the moment) buy and sell virtual content between each other, effectively allowing you to feel that little bit more like Richard Branson from the comfort of your desk.
More games are due to be supported in 2013 and Steam applies a transaction fee of 15% to buyers to ensure that it makes some lovely capital from the new system. Whilst 15% may sound quite high compared to the typical 10% people usually moan about on sites such as eBay, Valve has said that the fee MAY RISE in the future.
On top of this 15% fee, a “Team Fortress 2 Fee” is also applied to further support the developers of the title. We assume that this will be implemented with other titles which support this feature in 2013 as well to ensure that developers continue to reap the rewards of their hard work.
