An old-school collection of video games has been sold for the staggering price of US $1.23 million on eBay, causing extreme amounts of jealousy from speechless gamers who don’t exactly have extra millions lying around. The collection holds every game for the Sega, Nintendo (including the Famicom up to the GameCube) and NEC systems. It actually contains complete sets for up to 22 different consoles (that means about 7000 titles) including the rare title Go-Net which is said to be worth thousands of dollars. The seller, 32 year old Andre, stated “I perfected some full sets by getting every title of them factory sealed, just for the challenge of it.” He went on to say, “Some titles are extremely hard to come by brand new when they’re 25 years old. Now that the mission is complete, maybe it’s time to move on.” Whether the buyer will actually pay now is another matter but in case he/she doesn’t, Andre plans to re-sell the collection on eBay or via Japanese auction sites. Speaking of his listing on eBay, he stated “I still do have thousands of other games that I didn’t put there.”
