Your daughter has been infected with the Black Scrawl Virus and you’re not about to watch her die. Venture out into the world, desolate and inhabited by monstrous creatures known as the Shades. Find the cure, learn the mystery of the shades, and master the power within you to save Yonah from the infection. Nier is the latest release from Square Enix, it is a mature role-playing game, and has many elements of previous Square Enix titles like Final Fantasy. The main Character Nier wields a powerful sword that can do combo shots and with help from a talking book named Grimoire can use spell abilities against his enemies. Nier was released on April 27, 2010 to some mixed reviews amongst critics. The game got high marks on storyline and detail but was panned for graphics and visual effects. Overall, the game looks really good and with a Metacritic score of 68/100 it’s not something to pass up just because of some lousy reviews.
