Sony announced via their PlayStation Blog that PlayStation Home will be taken offline from 8:00am GMT on the 19th December (a.k.a: now) whilst their grab their sewing kits and start patching/updating the game.
After the service is restored and the doors are open again, PlayStation Home fans will have access to the “Winter Island” where there are Christmas Trees, snow (a lot of snow in fact) and the chance to earn more XP as you dance, duel, kiss under mistletoe, vote in costume parades and more.
Other than new environments, the update will also bring savings up to 70% off numerous items and up to 40% off the high-octane Stunt Pack expansion or 35% on the Luxury Life Tower for bragging rights for when you invite your virtual friends over to your (also virtual) home.
