Despite still trying to get over the fact that Final Fantasy XIII is now a trilogy, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII does have me mildly interested; hence this current post about Lightning Returns‘ new character and main character Lightning’s new wardrobe.
To start, Lightning will come in contact with a character named Lumina, who Gematsu has descried as ‘a help and a hindrance to Lightning’. She also looks a lot like Lightning’s sister Serah, from previous Final Fantasy XIIIs. What could this mean? Who knows, but if my Kingdom Hearts knowledge has taught me anything, she’s probably a Nobody.
Additionally, Lightning will have several different types of outfits that she can use throughout the game, with you being able to assign three at a time and switch between them mid-battle. So far we have the ‘Dark Muse’ and ‘Alone in a Sandstorm’ outfits, which can both be seen in the V-Jump scan. Dark Muse is the outfit on the left with the shield, while the smaller image on the right is of the Alone in a Sandstorm outfit.
Lightning Returns doesn’t have an official release date yet, but maybe, just maybe, we’ll get some more info on the game soon.
