Volition has announced the next game they are working on, called Agents of Mayhem. The game looks to be a combination of Crackdown meets XCOM in the way it looks and plays.
According to the trailer above, you will play as one of three characters fighting off a number of enemies for a secret organization funded by people that are going to question every move you make. The team has some very fancy equipment as they run through a futuristic city. However, it seems they are keeping it in the Saint’s Row universe, much like they did with Red Faction: Guerrilla, with the Saint’s purple logo on the wall in the background at the end of the trailer.
This is a new IP for Volition and is the first game they have made since Saint’s Row: Gat Out of Hell. It will be interesting seeing what they bring to the table now that they are finally working on a new title.
There is sure to be more talk about Agents of Mayhem at this year’s E3, which is coming up in just a few days. The game is set to release some time in 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
