We just keep inching closer and closer to Batman: Arkham Knight‘s release and Rocksteady just keeps pumping out the coverage like clockwork. Apart from their “Arkham Insider” video series, the studio’s shared a wealth of footage with us already – including some telling footage of its villains.
We know that most of Batman: Arkham City‘s unfriendly faces – Penguin, Two-Face, and Harley Quinn, are back along with Batman: Arkham Asylum‘s Scarecrow. We also know that Poison Ivy’s growing some sort of scheme of her own in Gotham’s bowels, maybe literally from the looks of the plant life up her arms and…other areas.
In Rocksteady’s latest video preview, “Time To Go To War,” Batman does just that and takes his war on crime to the streets via his shiny metal car with a certain villainess along for the ride. She seems rather displeased with Batman’s driving etiquette. We can’t blame her if that’s how Batman treats all of his impromptu dates.
You can check out the video below, which includes a variety of gameplay both of Batman’s free-flow combat and of the Batmobile’s handling on Gotham’s city streets. If you pay attention, you’ll also hear Breaking Bad‘s Jonathan Banks as Arkham Knight‘s Commissioner James Gordon who’s thankfully not taking shotgun with Bats.
Releasing this June 23rd for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Windows for PC, Batman: Arkham Knight sees Batman battle his greatest enemies in what could be Gotham’s final hours as The Scarecrow threatens to release a fear toxin on the entire East Coast in one terrifying night.
