This Week on Blu-Ray: August 16th 2016

<p>Welcome to another installment of This Week On Blu-Ray&comma; where I tell you what the big releases are and whether they’re worth getting&period; Another week&comma; another dour time for movies&period; Unless you need your taste of God&comma; cause we&&num;8217&semi;ve got some <em>God&&num;8217&semi;s Not Dead 2<&sol;em> with 100&percnt; less Kevin Sorbo&excl; Starring Melissa Joan Hart and Ray Wise&comma; this entry has something to do with politics&period; In other news&comma; advertisements were disavowed from the Republican National Convention in fear of the movie reaching out to its intended audience&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Lest I forget I work for a video game website&comma; I would be remiss to not mention <em>The Angry Birds Movie<&sol;em>&period; With a cast like Jason Sudeikis&comma; Josh Gad&comma; Maya Rudolph&comma; and Bill Hader&comma; we should be a little excited&comma; right&quest; I wish this were the case&period; After a worldwide haul of &dollar;345 million dollars worldwide&comma; I don&&num;8217&semi;t feel too bad for not seeing it&period; Maybe you will&quest;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Do you still watch <em>Once Upon A Time<&sol;em>&quest; Wait&comma; you never did&quest; Well the fifth season is out&excl; Now&&num;8217&semi;s the time to catch up on Jennifer Morrison and Gennifer Goodwin deal with numerous Disney characters that have no right to all be featured in the same place&period; It&&num;8217&semi;s like fan fiction at its finest&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In genre news&comma; Shout Factory has released the latest film in their Shout Select series&comma; <em>The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across The 8th Dimension<&sol;em>&period; That&&num;8217&semi;s quite the title&period; The 1984 cult classic stars Peter Weller as the titular character and John Lithgow as Dr&period; Emilio Lizardo&comma; his nemesis&period; If you haven&&num;8217&semi;t seen the film&comma; now seems like the perfect time to do so&period; I certainly plan on looking into it&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Alright everybody&comma; that&&num;8217&semi;s it for this week on blu-ray&period; Next week is nowhere near as disappointing as we deal with some zombies&comma; a Woman in the Dunes&comma; a Midnight Run&comma; some bad guys&comma; and The Nice Guys&period; Until next time&&num;8230&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
